Hello and welcome to my site.  I like to think I know a little about wine.  For certain, however, I know very little (nothing actually) about blog software.  So bear with me.

I will fill in a little more detail once I know what goes where.  In the meantime, my name is Myron and I’ve been “studying” wine for some time.   This of course is code for drinking a lot of wine.  Which I do.  Nonetheless, I have studied wine having worked my way through university waiting on tables, running the tasting bar and tour program for a BC winery, and hosting private wine tastings.  I’ve also undertaken some formal training through the Wine and Spirits Education Trust.

My day job is quite different and has nothing to do with wine.  However, my predilection for fine wine (and a good bargain) is known to, and not lost on, my colleagues who commonly want to know what my latest wine tip is for a weekend wine purchase.   Many have suggested that I should write a blog to get the word out in a more organized fashion.  After having thought about this, over many glasses of wine, I finally decided to take the plunge.  So here I am! Sip, spit, repeat…Sip, spit, repeat…Sip, spit, repeat…

In addition to wine reviews and “best picks”, I also enjoy a traveling to wine regions and hope to chronicle these trips through my blog.  I may also provide some random musing on topics of interest and intrigue such as wine tasting and scoring (which us wine guys both love and hate).

Like everyone else, I’m always interested in new wines, wine regions and opinions on wines – even if they differ widely (which they often do!).
